Kimberly Yanez is a journalist with more than a decade of diverse media experience. Originally from Venezuela, she is currently based in Victoria, Canada.

In her career as a journalist and editor for prominent Venezuelan newspapers including Notitarde and Nuevo Día, Kim has reported on a wide range of topics, from community issues and crime to national crises and elections.

She has also worked as a copywriter and marketing account manager for a variety of businesses in the US, Argentina and the Netherlands and produced radio shows in Venezuela.

Kim holds a master’s degree in journalism, media and globalisation, specialising in media and politics, from Aarhus University and the University of Amsterdam.

She is fluent in English and Spanish.
